What we do
Thank you so much for supporting Stockport County Community Foundation, which is a local independent registered charity established in 2007. We support over 20,000 children, adults and senior citizens in the local community across Stockport, Greater Manchester, Tameside, High Peak and Cheshire. Our aim is to use the local community passion for sport and particularly football by offering a range of activities to encourage learning and promote healthy lifestyles that will help to improve the lives of children, young people, adults and families in our community. Through this provision to a variety of groups, with a range of needs, we aim to make a positive difference to people’s lives promoting health and wellbeing, extending opportunity, choice and control benefitting attendees physically, socially and emotionally.
We work with various partners, both football and non-football, to deliver many different high-quality activities throughout the week for a wide range of participants. Our programmes include a Disability and Mental Health Football/Multisport project, Schools Coaching in local primary schools, Holiday Provision, Junior Team coaching sessions, a Transition Project, Girls’ Development, a Walking Football Project to Senior Citizens, a weekly “Sport in Memories” social wellbeing group for adults, a Goalz Project in the High Peak, Anti-Social Behaviour Sessions, 50 Plus sessions, Ball Boys’ Package, Match Day Bucket Collections, Player Involvement, Half Time Entertainment, Ground Tours and a Healthy Eating Programme.
Stockport County Community Foundation is an important element of the Football Club, it takes Stockport County off the pitch and into the local community to engage children and adults in structured, safe, fun environment and provides development activities, giving Stockport County FC a huge profile outside of Edgeley Park.
